Dwight presents a program that is an exploration of jazz through the eyes of a vocalist. Jazz is an American musical style that includes, straight ahead playing, solos, scat singing, and improvisation. These terms and concepts are taught to the students.

The program includes a musical presentation, discussion of musical terms thru an introduction to American composers and singers who have had a lasting influence on the American Music Scene, and links it to other classes. There is also an opportunity for the students to participate in the performance which heightens the learning experience.

Dwight and his trio or full band are available during the entire school year.

Printed material is available for each school prior to the engagement to prepare the students and staff for participation.
