2005 Holiday Party Recommendation

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend to you Dwight Lenox and his band for your upcoming event.

I recently hired the band to play at my corporate holiday party for approximately 100 people here in Columbus. I had seen the group perform several times already at weddings (my own brother's wedding included!), and knew ahead of time that they were impressive. I was thrilled again with their performance.

The mood that Dwight Lenox creates at an event is festive and exciting. He is a fantastic performer, and though this may sound strange, he understands both the importance of connecting with his audience, and also the importance of not intruding on an event, if it is unwarranted. The presence of the great music is really felt with such a presentation.

His repertoire is extensive and totally appealing, and the ease with which the band goes from genre to genre, playing many equally well, is amazing.

Mr. Lenox is one of the nicest, most professional people I've met, and working with him on planning, choosing music, and set-up was easy and clear-cut.

Overall, I was completely happy with Dwight Lenox and his band, and I received so many compliments from my guests, I would gladly hire them again. With this in mind, I am happy to recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, fun, and exciting event!

2005 Lancaster Midwinter Magic Recommendation

To whom it may concern,

I would like to wholeheartedly recommend to you Dwight Lenox and his terrific band, the Lenox Avenue Express. They were the headliner at our annual Midwinter Magic concert and did not disappoint in the least.

Dwight's smooth style and accomplished vocal talent sailed through a wide range of pieces, all ending at the same destination…WOW! We enjoyed much of his new release, Gershwin and Friends, which rolled through so many favorites leaving us with masterful performances and a new appreciation for the gigantic talent of the songwriters. Along with Gershwin, we tasted Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder and even Spiral Staircase!

His rendition of Gershwin's But Not For Me was particularly satisfying. Truly, for Lenox, 'it all began so well…' and ended even better! Just the Two of Us and I Wish never sounded so good and we were transported to warmer climes with the soulful musings of Summertime. It all went to heat up the bitter cold night.

Dwight Lenox has assembled a first class group of quality musicians that work and sound as one. The smooth and seamless combination of instruments provides the perfect backdrop in which Lenox can soar. You couldn't ask for a better palette upon which to create such a rich and diverse display of sumptuous vocal talent.

Dwight Lenox is here to stay.
